Every now and then, I come across the blogs of families who have lost a child.
This happened yesterday, and I am, once again, struck by how lucky I am.
I am so lucky to have a healthy, happy, adorable, intelligent, naughty little boy in my life.
-
So, today, I am considering it all JOY:
-
When Joseph’s face looks like this at the end of the meal?
Joy.
-
When he is feeling a little bit under the weather and lays down for 10 minutes while I rub his back?
Joy.
-
When he chews on the blind cord for no apparent reason?
Joy.
-
When he makes this corny little fake smile face over and over until I can’t stop laughing?
Joy.
-
When he kicks me like crazy during a poopy diaper change, which causes me accidently stick my entire hand into his poop?…
…Joy?
…
Well, some things are harder than others.
But I love my little guy and am so thankful for him today.

I totally know how you feel!
And to answer your 'art' question, I just provided Hayden with the stuff and after a while he just took to it. no presser it was just there. Honestly, I don't know how it happen. ;)
I totally agree - even on day like today when T Rex is being a T Rex I just count my blessings that he is healthy and happy and I can enjoy his presence in my life.
Good post!
I think the same thing, M2 has a lot ahead of him still, but he is still much better off than so many other 'sick' children.
It is truly miraculous that God gave us eyes to see past the "mess" of our babies to find the "JOY" - no matter what!
GOOD FOR YOU CAITLIN!
It's so true. We are so lucky that we have healthy, happy, (though often mess) children.
Really cute pictures :)
so cute!!!!
you are right, we should enjoy EVERY moment. Pooppy hands and all. They are all a blessing just to be able to have!
That is some really great Joy to enjoy. LOL...
I am like you and remind my self how lucky I am to have healthy boys and I am so thankful for it.
Yes, do you remember my potty training blog about "Come what may and love it!" when Hailey and Jacob played in the toilet. I can at least laugh now and pray that Hailey lives long enough to have children of her own and go through the same things she put me through. Will there be justice?
Cute little faces by the way. You are going to be so glad you are doing this blog. One day Joseph will see what he put you through. So pat yourself on the back.
