18 months

 

Dear Isaac,

 

I can’t believe that you are 1 and a half! (plus one day! Sorry buddy!)

Some day you are going to ask, “why don’t you have as many pictures of me as you do of Joseph?”

and the answer is: because you are always moving!

You are my sunshine.

 

You are also extremely naughty.

I can’t take my eyes off you for a minute!

However, if I tell you “no”, you are quick to come back with a cheery, “Hi!” or a hug/kiss, or a pouty face if you feel it was undeserved.

 

I never thought that I would have a blondie like you.

And your curls melt my heart.

You have a rotated incisor, so we call you snaggle tooth.

When we ask you if you want something you hum quickly for “yes.”

 

Vitamin-time is your favorite time of day. (gummy vitamins!)

 

You can run, jump, climb, kick, spin, better than any 18 month old we’ve come across.

You make all the other parents at the playground nervous as you navigate the whole thing by yourself.

People always comment on how big and strong you are.  A “little linebacker”

You love your brother more than anything.

You can say Joseph (actually Jo-jo, pronounced sho-sho as if in French), Isaac, Mama, Dada, ball, shoes, socks, truck, bye bye, uh oh, home, park, hiya!, batman, book, all done, cookie, are you?, red, BALL!, dog, green, and, just yesterday, “I love you.” (sounds like “ah ya yu” muffled with a binky).  Plus a ton more that I can’t remember right this minute.

Also, many truck noises, sirens, and the Joker’s laugh. (Ah-ha-ha-ha!)

You are so loud.

You are so naughty (have I mentioned that already?)

You light up our lives and we are so lucky to have you!
