The Downside of Summertime

Exhibit A: The Skinned Knee

Which, as it turns out, must be Tough-as-nails Isaac’s Achille’s heel equivalent.

(note: first spontaneous kiss of compassion caught on camera!!)

That, and stubbed toes- OH HOW HE MOANS HIS STUBBED TOES!!!- which won’t get any better until we stop having toys scattered on our floor like confetti. (never)

But, oh those pudgy legs and feet and toes!

They kill me with their adorableness and babyishness!

DSC_0097

With those little-boy bandaids and the yarn that he had me tie around his waist for no apparent reason!

I can’t regret putting that cuteness into shorts!

And see?!  He’s feeling better already!!

I…think…?

“CHEESE!”

.

PS

“Mama!  Take picture my back!”

“I see it?”

(stares in silence for several minutes)

Perhaps the first time he has ever seen himself from behind.

Kids are awesome!

Oh … I just love those chubby legs and yarn belt! And the X marks the spot band-aid application is quite nifty! I'll have to remember that!
