the first day our local wading pool was open for the summer. (and we were the first ones in it- hello inaugural wade!)
picnic at the park
sticky hands
Isaac’s newly stained swim shirt
dirty knees
sweaty boys
Joseph’s “hot dog dance” when I told him we could go back to the wading pool for round 2
chlorine and sunblock
Isaac’s soggy swim diapered hiney sitting on my lap
squeaky crocs
sleepy silence the whole walk home
nap time on mama’s bed with joseph plastered kitten-style to my back
Isaac laughing at his big brother all afternoon.
the day that I had been dreading
(the first day back and on my own after our Oregon trip)
not so bad after all.

I love how Isaac watches Joseph, so as to learn what he ought to be doing. ;)
They're adorable!
Oh goodness, that last photo - Joseph looks so much like you.
That actually sounds like a pretty darn great outing to me. How wonderful something like that is so near you can walk.
I hope you had a wonderful trip back West. More details please.
And I'm curious how you manage the kids on the plane for that amount of time. I was thinking of you doing that recently. Sounds like a challenge.
You've been missed.
welcome home!
Oh. My. Gosh. I am so sorry for all those bumps in the road during your trip.
You've convinced me to stay home until our kids move out of the house.....
Glad you're home safe! Hope Brian is ok!
When I showed this to Garrett and asked him who those kids are he said, "Isaac and Jofus" hahaha. When I tried to get him to say JO-Seph he just kept saying Jofus, Jofus, Jofus!
